if they can make a physical form they'd be visible to the host, but if they're visible to the host that doesn't necessarily mean they can make a physical form

I would imagine that's only if you have beliefs that Satan actually exists; like how people have different religious beliefs but are still aware of malevolent or evil entities out there- at least I'd imagine that so. I guess a simpler question would be is if tulpas can be evil or malevolent entities in and of themselves. If that makes sense!

Demons are different in different religions. You don't have to believe in satan to think demons exist.

Metaphysics never states that all tulpas are separate from the host. Just that there is a spiritual aspect and tulpas have certain spiritual characteristics.
